Bruce’s Barber Shop Visit
Thanks to a generous donor, Bruce was able to have one final “visit” to the barber shop.
Growing up, Bruce would often visit his local barber shop to get a cut and shave. Bruce wanted nothing more than a “visit” to the barber shop as his final wish. Due to being in one of the Covenant Care Inpatient Centers, Bruce was unable to travel. Thankfully, a My Wish partner was able to go to Bruce and provide a cut and shave like he was at the barber shop. Bruce felt like a million bucks!
Betty’s Visit Home
Betty’s wish is to return home for a final visit with her son and his family.
Betty is from Newburyport, a small town outside of Boston. She would like to travel there to spend precious time with the ones she loves. She said, “Newburyport is so beautiful this time of year, I would relish the opportunity to enjoy it with my son and his family.”
Her wish is to return home to visit with her young granddaughter, son, and his wife one final time.
Lorraine’s wish is to be pampered one final time. Frequently, it’s the little things that seem to lift one’s spirits in a time of crisis.
Always an independent person, Lorraine has recently felt isolated due to her inability to drive anymore because of her health.
Her children mentioned how much she enjoyed getting her hair done, and thought it might lift her spirits. When they discussed the idea with Lorraine, she loved the idea and said, “When you look good, you do feel good.” Lorraine’s oldest son Sean added, “My mother never really took much time for herself, she has always focused on helping my brothers and chasing after her grandkids. I know the opportunity to be pampered will lift her spirits.”
With your gift, you can help lift Lorraine’s spirits.
Margaret’s Family Photos
Margaret’s wish is for her family photos to be put together in one photo album.
Photo albums have the unique ability to become precious family heirlooms. With them, we can capture memories and stop time. As Margaret’s memories begin to fade, her wish is to have a family photo album put together to help her to remember the happy moments and priceless milestones. With your gift, you can grant Margaret’s wish and eventually give her family a precious heirloom.
