Elizabeth always made sure to look her best. Her wish was a wash, cut and style of her hair.
Elizabeth’s wish was simple, a haircut and style one final time.
“My Grandma always took pride in looking her best, and if her hair wasn’t done, she didn’t feel presentable,” said her grandson, Mike. Since being in the Inpatient Center, Elizabeth was unable to travel to a hair salon to have her hair done. With a generous donation from a Wish Grantor, she was able to have a hair stylist come to her.
Dorma’s Day of Pampering
Dorma’s wish is to feel pampered with a manicure and pedicure one final time.
Dorma is a caring soul who always puts others first, rarely taking time for herself. When speaking with her Social Worker, Dorma mentioned she hasn’t been pampered in years and was “absolutely tickled” by the idea of a day of beauty.
Dorma’s wish is simple: she’d like a bright red manicure and pedicure “to show she’s still sassy” says Dorma with a grin.
Flowers for Frances
Frances would like flowers for her room at the Inpatient Center and a haircut to make her feel beautiful.
On any sunny afternoon, Frances could be found in the garden. She enjoyed being outdoors; watching butterflies flit from flower to flower in the springtime and the seasons changing in autumn.
Due to changes in her health, Frances now resides in an Inpatient Center and has been unable to enjoy the sunshine on a regular basis. Her wish is for some flowers to brighten her room and get her hair “done” like she use to do with friends.
Pearlie wishes to have a photo of her home in Birmingham, since she is unable to travel there.
There really is no place like home. Pearlie worked for many years as a dietician at the Children’s Hospital to save and purchase her home in Birmingham. She lived there for more than fifty years before her health condition made it necessary to move in with her sister, Miss Fossy.
Pearlie’s wish is to see her home in Birmingham one final time, but since she is unable to travel, the next best thing is a large photo of home sweet home.
With the help of a Wish Grantor like you, Pearlie can see her beloved home again.
