June came into our care as an avid gardener. Her wish was for some new house plants and flowers to make her feel at home in her new space.
You can certainly call June an avid gardener, because she has been doing it her whole life. Even at 94 years-young, June was recently spotted raking eight bags of leaves from her property. As June made the move into a new assisted living facility, she wanted to bring the “outside” in with her. Thanks to a generous donor, June’s wish was granted and she was surrounded with some beautiful new house plants and flowers to make her feel at home in her new space.
Elizabeth has always made sure to look her best. Her wish is a wash, cut, and style of her hair.
Elizabeth had a bit of trouble coming up with a wish, but her sweet grandson thought a fresh haircut would help.
She has always taken pride in looking her best, and her hair has been no exception. Elizabeth loves the feeling of a new cut and style and could frequently be seen headed to the salon. Her family said, “she will be so thankful for what some people might take for granted, a simple haircut, without having to worry about how to get to and from a salon. Elizabeth is currently at an Inpatient Center, and with your donation, she can have a stylist come to her bedside.
Flowers for Frances
Frances would like flowers for her room at the Inpatient Center and a haircut to make her feel beautiful.
On any sunny afternoon, Frances could be found in the garden. She enjoyed being outdoors; watching butterflies flit from flower to flower in the springtime and the seasons changing in autumn.
Due to changes in her health, Frances now resides in an Inpatient Center and has been unable to enjoy the sunshine on a regular basis. Her wish is for some flowers to brighten her room and get her hair “done” like she use to do with friends.
Marilyn’s Day Out
Marilyn would like a trip to her favorite local salon, The Snip n Barn for a haircut, manicure and pedicure.
There’s nothing quite like a trip to the beauty salon to make one feel like a million bucks!
The Snip n Barn is Marilyn’s favorite salon, where she loves to visit with her stylist. It’s been the highlight of her week for many years. Her son reports, “she loves going there because they always get her style just right and the stylists are just a fun bunch of people.”
Unfortunately, due to her declining health, Marilyn hasn’t been able to visit the Snip N Barn in quite some time. She misses the friendships she has formed with the staff and other patrons, as well as the feeling of looking beautiful after her visit.
Marilyn’s simple wish is to be pampered with a haircut, style and pedicure from her favorite salon.
