Nathaniel’s Naval Memories
Nathaniel came into our care as a Veteran who wished for some small items that reminded him of his days aboard the USS Neosho.
Nathaniel’s wish was simple. He requested a copy of the book The Ship that Wouldn’t Die: The Saga of the USS Neosho by Don Keith, along with a U.S. Navy hat and framed photograph of the USS Neosho. Thanks to a generous donor, we were able to provide Nathaniel with these mementos that helped him go back in time.
Olive’s Family Time
Olive wishes to see her son one last time.
Olive’s son lives in Texas, and he doesn’t have the extra money to visit his sweet mama. She really wants to see her boy, so she has asked if we could help grant her wish. Please help us bring Olive’s son home for one final visit. Your gift will cover the cost of his travel and food so he can make sweet memories with his mother.
Barbara’s Beach Trip
Barbara dreams of a trip to the beach where she grew up.
Barbara was raised on the Gulf Coast in Panama City Beach. Since her family was displaced by Hurricane Michael, she misses her hometown dearly. It’s hard to watch the place you love change so drastically overnight. Her memories will carry her through, but Barbara would love to make a visit to the place that means so much to her. With your help, we can send Barbara on a sweet vacation and give her a special beachfront dinner, where she can reminisce on the good times she had growing up.
Jerry’s Fishing Trip
Jerry longs to go deep sea fishing one last time.
Jerry has always loved deep sea fishing. Growing up near the coast, he was often able to indulge in his favorite pastime. But since his family was displaced by Hurricane Michael, Jerry no longer lives near the water. He’s hoping to spend one more day out on a boat catching some fish. Let’s give Jerry a fishing trip to remember by granting his wish.
