Clothing for Joshua
Joshua came into our care with just the clothes on his back. His wish is for three outfits, undergarments, socks, and tennis shoes.
Have you ever had someone tell you to not take little things for granted, like clean clothes and comfortable shoes?
Today is your chance to appreciate the little things and help someone less fortunate than you. Joshua came to our Inpatient Center with only the clothes on his back. With just one set of clothing, Joshua’s final wish is a pretty simple one, which to most of us, could also be taken for granted. You can help grant Joshua’s wish to have some new clothes and some comfortable tennis shoes. With your generous donation of $100, not only will you grant Joshua some new socks and shoes, but you might just warm his heart along with his toes.
Bobby’s wish is to travel to Charleston, South Carolina and visit the USS Yorktown on which he was stationed during his service in the United States Navy.
As a young man, Bobby served in the United States Navy as an underwater demolition expert. His service took him aboard the USS Yorktown and around the globe.
Bobby has such fond memories of his time aboard “The Fighting Lady” and the lifelong friendships he forged with others serving at his side. He says he loved his days on the ship and that it was such an important part of his life.
Bobby wishes to return one final time and give thanks to the ship that provided him with so many memories. As an added bonus, Charleston is the city where Bobby and his wife, Annette took their first major trip as a young couple.
Barry’s Beach Visit
Barry’s wish is to see the ocean one time during his life.
After watching The Weather Channel and seeing the warm southern climate, Barry moved from Chicago to Mobile, Alabama one year ago. Growing up in the Midwest, Barry has never seen the beach and only dreamed of putting his toes in the cool sand and water. Barry wishes to end his special day by taking a boat ride on Mobile Bay and feeling the Gulf winds blow across his face.
Sam’s Beach Trip
Sam, a Marine Corps veteran, wishes to take his three children and eight grandchildren to the beach and create memories that will last forever.
Before his illness progressed, Sam’s family spent time each summer at Pensacola Beach sharing laughter and creating memories. “The beach house was always crowded and loud, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.” says Sam. “Having all generations together under one roof is an amazing experience.”
One final visit to the beach surrounded by the love of his family is Sam’s wish. Become a Wish Grantor so that Sam’s family is left with wonderful memories of their father and grandfather.
