John’s wish is to enjoy the healing beauty of nature.
They say gardening is good for the soul. Ask some of the healthiest people on the planet their secret, and the answer is often the same – spending time among the flowers and the dirt. Of course, John already knows this to be true. All his life, he has loved to be outside, planting seeds and watching them grow. Now, John’s planters have begun to fall apart. Covenant Care has found a volunteer to help John build new raised beds for his garden – but we need your help to fill them. Please grant John’s wish to get back to what he loves best…a gift that will grow his garden, while lifting his spirits.
Betty’s Visit Home
Betty’s wish is to return home for a final visit with her son and his family.
Betty is from Newburyport, a small town outside of Boston. She would like to travel there to spend precious time with the ones she loves. She said, “Newburyport is so beautiful this time of year, I would relish the opportunity to enjoy it with my son and his family.”
Her wish is to return home to visit with her young granddaughter, son, and his wife one final time.
Bobby’s wish is to travel to Charleston, South Carolina and visit the USS Yorktown on which he was stationed during his service in the United States Navy.
As a young man, Bobby served in the United States Navy as an underwater demolition expert. His service took him aboard the USS Yorktown and around the globe.
Bobby has such fond memories of his time aboard “The Fighting Lady” and the lifelong friendships he forged with others serving at his side. He says he loved his days on the ship and that it was such an important part of his life.
Bobby wishes to return one final time and give thanks to the ship that provided him with so many memories. As an added bonus, Charleston is the city where Bobby and his wife, Annette took their first major trip as a young couple.
Charlotte’s wish is to visit with her daughter, one final time.
The mother-daughter relationship is one of the strongest and complex bonds in the world. It is considered one of the most powerful connections in nature that only mothers and daughters understand and share among themselves. Charlotte, a Covenant Hospice Care patient, wishes to make one last powerful connection with her daughter. With your donation, you can help Charlotte’s daughter make a visit to see her mother.
